New House on a hill in East Hampton
The house rests on a bucolic hillside of seven acres in East Hampton. Nearly every room opens to the meadow and the woods beyond. The heart of this home is the grand room and kitchen within the barn structure. A long hallway connects the barn to the two story guest wing and opposite this, another long hallway connects to the master suite. A lower level guest suite with private stairs opens to a natural kettle hole and woods beyond. The superstructure is a hybrid of SIPs and stick frame construction. There are Geo-Thermal HV/AC system and solar panel systems set at the edge of the paddock. The decor and furnishings by the owner were carefully selected to be sympathetic in scale, color, and texture with the respective architecture and tenor of each room.
